SLIder

The next phenomenon which I mentioned, street lights going on or off.
For as long as I can remember, I had feelings that my presence (or something else´s with me) caused street lights to go on or off at the moment I pass them. Of course, this could have several physical explanations such as lifespan etc. BUT, I remember the same lights doing it, for years. Was that lightbulb "dying" for over 3 years? I doubt it.
So research!

The phenomenon is called Street light Interference (SLI) The person undergoing this effect, is called a SLIder. Then again, everybody will remember occasions off this happening, simply being coincidence. The border of coincidence and "happening" therefor is a gray area, on a gray topic.
Most stories and explanations being just that, anekdotes.

The difference with SLIders is, that they effect other applications as well;
going on or off without manipulating them to, volume levels change, watches stop working or magnetic cards stopping to function.

I myself remember having 2 of these, TV´s going on or off against my will, which might as well been a dying tv.
The other one was the magnetic (mostly credit cards) stopping to function, when I worked behind the till for a year, colleague´s rarely had a disfunctional card, I had it several times a day.

With several speculations about the cause of this phenomenon, one would be electrical impulses in the brain.
Research at Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) suggested that their "subjects" could influence random generations on a computer more then would be by chance.
A small detail is that the Research facility is closed now.

So this remembered me of a family..

Do they have SLI? I would want to know.

*Note, that I wrote the text above yesterday afternoon, that evening, I was going home from practice, and yes, a light turned off when I walked under it.*
